I just watched Joe simpson tune a 6.0 Single turbo 11lbs boost on pump gas 93 650whp. Man I wish I had the time and brain power to Understand how to tune. 👍
My new 6.2 combo is a SBE LSA on 10 psi and 87 octane it did 130mph in a 1/4 in my truck haha

Ordered one for my 2014 F150 5.0l Soo far, I cant find anyone running one for my generation.
Installed my banks yesterday for my 14 f150 5.0 and love it! Did lots of research and I do think the banks was better than SAnd B with the extra air scoop on top!

Good comparison, at around 17:34 in the video you mentioned that because of the torque converter that the engine makes the majority of its available power at the beginning of the pull. This is very encouraging to me as I would to build a twin turbo LS in my next project and don't want to have to wait until 6000rpm-7000rpm to see the maximum power from the engine, as I would like to be able to occasionally use it as a daily driver. Or would I still need to wait until the higher rpms to actually see 700HP-800HP+ ? Of course I could always use axle gearing to get into higher rpms at lower speeds but would rather not unless necessary since it would have a severe hit to mpg if I were to use it as any kind of daily driver. Thanks for any advice, opinions, or answers. Regards
From the all the builds we have done, we are seeing peak power around 6000, but I limit power down between 4000-6000 by lowering the ignition timing. That's where you'll typically have the most cylinder pressure, thus making it more likely to bend connecting rods. However this is really only an issue when pushing up around 1k hp, so if you're around 700-800 you won't need to pull as much timing down there and you'll notice the engine feels like it makes all the power by 4000 and will carry it to 6000 no problem! I would just suggest a smaller cam, like around 215 duration on a 4.8 and around 222 on a 6.0 and you'll like the power band

Idk about highway trucks, I just run heavy iron but the ACERT machines Ive ran are always totally gutless compared to the competition
@@wills.5762 Lots of equipment is derated ....it's for the "Dummy" operator as a failsafe. But a tuned C15 and a stock C15 are two different animals.

I love my Dominator but Why dose the boost controller have to be so complicated. I have used E boost, AMS 1000/500 and the holley stuff is not user friendly.

torque management is very important. rip your trans, your tuner needs help
I tuned it myself. I currently drive a 2010 GMC Sierra 4x4 with a 6.2L 6L80e, it has 232k miles, no torque management for the last 150k miles, still works like a dream. Just got to know how to tune them. This video however was just when I was getting started learning how to tune them

Yes!! My 2015 Tahoe 120000 miles tranny started slipping. Dealership wanted 6k. Reset computer for $80. Problem solved.
I want to go turbo but idk if my 10 bolt will hold up I just put a fresh kit to make it a 410 gear how much hp can u hold on 10 bolt gm

I've turned it up a bit since this video lol, but it's bone stock, only thing that's changed in the bottom end is new GM rod bolts after I took the rod caps off to inspect

Thanks! It's actually really simple, I tapped the factory VSS wires (at the back of the trans) from the trucks original harness into the LS VSS wires at the VSS sensor. I hope that makes sense. Basically there are 4 wires at the VSS sensor on the 4L80e right now haha. Plus this way the factory cruise works too

Rod bearings, arp studs, ls7 headgaskets, new rings open the gap and cam, stock heads?
@@ALEX.THE.RUSSIAN it is a stock untouched 2008 LQ4 work truck engine bottom end, never even checked the ring gap lol. The bearings are stock, rings are stock, it has ARP head studs, LS9 head gaskets, Summit stg3 turbo cam, BTR dual springs, and 5/16 chromoly pushrods. Heads are stock untouched 2003 LQ4 317 heads. Key is tuning to keep it alive, even at 29.5 psi boost without opening the ring gap

Fuckin thing gets up! I have a 07 Classic SCSB 2wd with a L59 5.3 4L70 and 3.23 posi. Bone stock minus the shift kit and exhaust. Im going with a 14 bolt or Curry 9 inch with 4.30s, not sure what cam or converter but im sold on a LSXR intake and Texas Speed long tube. And the beauty of having a 07 Classic is its flex fule. Cool video bro, I'll watch some more 👍🇺🇲
Man I'm working on a new series, I bought an 07 classic SCSB 2wd myself! Also is an L59 5.3. I bought it with a bad axle so i did already install 4.30 gears! Gonna do free mods and showing gains on a dragy (gps based performance meter) , then moving on to better mods. I already have headers, cam, springs ect in boxes for this video
